6 Most Common Password Cracking Methods and Their Countermeasures

Tuesday, January 5, 2016

There are number of methods out their used by hackers to hack your account or get your personal information. Today in this post i will share with you guys 6 Most commonly used method to crack password and their countermeasures. You must check out this article to be safe and to prevent your online accounts from hacking.

1. BruteForce Attack

Any password can be cracked using Brute-force attack. Brute-force attacks try every possible combinations of numbers, letters and special characters until the right password is match. Brute-force attacks can take very long time depending upon the complexity of the password. The cracking time is determined by the speed of computer and complexity of the password.

Countermeasure: Use long and complex passwords. Try to use combination of upper and lowercase letters along with numbers. Brute-force attack will take hundreds or even thousands of years to crack such complex and long passwords.
Example: Passwords like "iloveu" or "password"can be cracked easily whereas computer will take years to crack passwords like "aN34lL00"

2. Social Engineering

Social engineering is process of manipulating someone to trust you and get information from them. For example, if the hacker was trying to get the password of a co-workers or friends computer, he could call him pretending to be from the IT department and simply ask for his login details. Sometime hackers call the victim pretending to be from bank and ask for their credit cards details. Social Engineering can be used to get someone password, to get bank credentials or any personal information.

Countermeasure: If someone tries to get your personal or bank details ask them few questions. Make sure the person calling you is legit. Never ever give your credit card details on phone.

3. Rats And Keyloggers
In keylogging or RATing the hacker sends keylogger or rat to the victim. This allows hacker to monitor every thing victim do on his computer. Every keystroke is logged including passwords. Moreever hacker can even control the victims computer.
Countermeasure: Never login to your bank account from cyber cafe or someone else computer. If its important use on-screen or virtual keyboard while tying the login. Use latest anti-virus software and keep them updated. Check out below article to know more about Rats and Keyloggers.

4. Phishing

Phishing is the most easiest and popular hacking method used by hackers to get someone account details. In Phishing attack hacker send fake page of real website like facebook, gmail to victim. When someone login through that fake page his details is send to the hacker. This fake pages can be easily created and hosted on free web-hosting sites.

Countermeasure: Phishing attacks are very easy to avoid. The url of this phishing pages are different from the real one. For example URL of phishing page of facebook might look like facbbook.com (As you can see There are two "b"). Always make sure that websites url is correct. Check out below article to know more about phishing.

5. Rainbow Table

A Rainbow table is a huge pre-computed list of hashes for every possible combination of characters. A password hash is a password that has gone through a mathematical algorithm such as md5 and is transformed into something which is not recognizable. A hash is a one way encryption so once a password is hashed there is no way to get the original string from the hashed string. A very commonly used hashing algorithm to store passwords in website databases is MD5. It is almost similar to dictionary attack, the only difference is, in rainbow tables attack hashed characters are used as passwords whereas in dictionary attack normal characters are used as passwords.
Example: ‘hello’ in md5 is5d41402abc4b2a76b9719d911017c592 and zero length string ("") is d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e

Countermeasure: Make sure you choose password that is long and complex. Creating tables for long and complex password takes a very long time and a lot of resources

6. Guessing

This seems silly but this can easily help you to get someones password within seconds. If hacker knows you, he can use information he knows about you to guess your password. Hacker can also use combination of Social Engineering and Guessing to acquire your password.

Countermeasure: Don't use your name, surname, phone number or birthdate as your password. Try to avoid creating password that relates to you. Create complex and long password with combination of letters and numbers.

How To Recover Deleted Pictures Photos or Images From Android Devices

Sunday, June 30, 2013

DiskDigger is one of the most popular programs to recover deleted files from Windows, which encourage The Main Company To Create Some Other Program For the Android . Honestly After Trying This App I Was Very Impressed Of The Strength  in the recovery of some deleted images . However, it must be mentioned that the pictures that the program can retrieve are those who are deleted By mistake from the phone or from the Android panel in a short time only! That is, if you delete images from the phone for more than a week or a month, the program may be unable to retrieve all deleted photos by 100%, bescause the new images Can Take The place Of The deleted photos and this Will eventually cause the inability for the program to retrieve deleted photos From the Android phone.
Unfortunately, the program DiskDigger only works on Android rooted devices.

How The Program Works ?

Mozilla has no plans to sell own-brand Firefox OS smartphones

Monday, June 24, 2013

Mozilla won’t follow Google’s footsteps and launch its own-brand Firefox OS smartphones. In an interview with DigiTimes, the company’s SVP of Mobile Devices and President of Mozilla’s Asia Operations, Li Gong, confirmed that we won’t be seeing anything like the Nexus series. Rather the popular browser maker may work on “reference models” that could be adopted and tweaked by OEM partners.
During the next few weeks and months, interested users will be able to choose between two low-end models, ZTE Open and Alcatel OneTouch Fire, with smartphones from other OEMs coming later in the year. Among those looking to experiment with the nascent platform are Huawei, LG and Sony though it’s still unclear when any of these will launch their Firefox OS devices.
According to Li Gong, Mozilla has received “increasing inquiries” about the operating system from vendors following Google’s acquisition of Motorola…
From what I’ve seen, Firefox OS is still a bit of work in progress and we’ll have to wait for the first super-phone running Mozilla’s mobile platform to get excited about it. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for too long to see something like that…

Facebook developing social reader to rival Flipboard, year-long project includes input from Zuckerberg

facebook

Last week’s big Facebook media event was initially tipped to see a ‘Facebook Reader’ product launched, but instead it saw video introduced to Instagram.
However, there’s no smoke without fire and it seems that the company is indeed working on a Reader of its own, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The Journal cites a number of anonymous sources inside Facebook who reveal a Flipboard-like social reader is being developed to allow users to aggregate and read news stories from a range of sources. Michael Matas, a designer formerly with Apple and Nest, is said to be heading the product.
The Facebook Reader project has apparently been ongoing for a year and it has developed under the close gaze of CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is said to have provided input and reviewed the design at various stages. That’s opposed to other launches which are considerably quicker, such as Snapchat-like Poke which was created and launched within the space of 12 days.
Yet, despite the project’s longevity, precise details are unclear.
The Journal says the service is “a product experience that works on both tablets and smartphones”, but it is not clear whether that means it will be a standalone app, like Flipboard, or a feature that is integrated into Facebook.com and optimized for tablets and smartphones.
The overall objective, unsurprisingly, is to draw users to Facebook and increase engagement. Apparently the team has spent time exploring distribution issues, such as how new content from Facebook is surfaced to users.
The Journal was unable to get a potential launch date for the project, and it even goes so far as to suggest that there’s a chance that Facebook Reader might never be launched. However, given the long-term efforts and involvement of Zuckerberg — not to mention Flipboard’s success and the impending end of Google Reader — we’d certainly expect a news service of sorts.
There’s also the fact that such a service would appeal to advertisers. Facebook’s recent revamp of Timeline shows it is trying to help users better organize things that are important to them, and it has never been shy of its intention for that to include broader news in addition to Facebook-based updates from friends and family.
Flipboard has received plaudits for its design and usability, which allows users to literally ‘flip’ the page to read news like a newspaper on their phone or tablet.
The service hit 50 million users in May, when it began allowing its users to create their own magazines on the service.

How to Hack Softwares to use them Lifetime

Saturday, June 22, 2013

Hi, I am back today with a most usefull article..Hope all of you will Like It ! Here i will show you that "How to Hack Softwares to use them Forever ?" . That really a useful article, because in our daily life we need thousand of softwares today, which of most are highly paid..So how to use them Freely for whole Like ??

Most of us are familiar with many softwares that run only for a specified period of time in the trial mode.Once the trial period is expired these softwares stop functioning and demand for a purchase. But there is a way to run the softwares and make them function beyond the trial period. Isn’t this interesting?

Before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever, we have to understand the functioning of these softwares.I’ll try to explain this in brief.Because Purpose if ICA is 1st to clear your basics. So,When these softwares are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the Windows Registry with the details such as Installed Date and Time, installed path etc. After installation every time you run the software, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time. So, with this it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.

So with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem. For this purpose there is a small Tool known as RunAsDate.

RunAsDate is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.

Download RunAsDate v1.10

Intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify. It works with Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista.

NOTE: FOLLOW THESE TIPS CAREFULLY
You have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and make it run in it’s trial mode forever.
1. Note down the date and time, when you install the software for the first time.
2. Once the trial period expires, you must always run the software using RunAsDate .
3. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly. If you run the software directly even once, this hack may no longer work.
4. It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.

Office 2013 review

Rating

4.5/5

FOR

  • Improved interface
  • Clean, clear and efficient
  • Every app has great features like PDF Flow
  • Office on all your devices

AGAINST

  • Pricey
  • Windows XP isn't supported
  • Tools can be hard to find
  • No escape from Metro

Office 2013 is the latest refresh of Microsoft's near ubiquitous Office suite. The latest version sees it get the Windows 8 treatment, with a touch-friendly interface and a sparser look, as well as new features in every application.
While the main thing you'll notice is the new look, there are some really interesting features under the hood - though sadly not for Windows XP users, who are now excluded. Office 2013 is strictly for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users.
As part of the launch, Office has also reached a new landmark by going into the cloud with subscription pricing, on-demand installation and automatic syncing of settings and documents you save online rather than offline. It's called Office 365.
That particular method of purchase ensures you're always up-to-date, even if the software changes - check out our Office 365 review.
As usual, there are multiple versions of Office 2013, but this time around the different editions are not just about whether you're using them at home or in a business or which applications are included.
Office 2013
Office has a new UI

Buying Office 2013

Even if you decide you want to buy a pay-for-it-once-and-keep-it copy of Office 2013 in a box, you won't find a DVD inside – just a product key to unlock the software you download. (Buyers in "developing countries with limited internet access" can still get a DVD, but that's not an option in the UK or US.)
If you prefer to pay an annual subscription to get extra features, Office 365 editions let you download the Office 2013 applications onto multiple PCs (or share them with your family).
For home users, there are four options. Buy the boxed software and you can put it on one PC. Office Home and Student 2013 with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote costs £109.99/$139.99; Office Home and Business 2013 adds Outlook and costs £219.99/$219.99. Office Professional 2013 has the full set of programs for £389.99/$399.99; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access and Publisher.
Then there's the new subscription version that Microsoft released this week,Office 365 Home Premium, which costs you $99.99 a year for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access and Publisher.
That's good value if you share it with the family; up to five people in the same household can have their own installations of Office on their PC or Mac at the same time (for the Office programs that run on a Mac – and Mac users get the current version of Office for Mac until a new release comes along in the future). And when the next version of Office comes out, you'll get it on the same subscription.
All five people get an extra 20GB of storage on SkyDrive to keep documents on and 60 free Skype world calling minutes a month (which can be calls to a landline or a mobile and from your PC or from a smartphone with Skype installed).
Office 2013
If you don't have Office and you open an Excel spreadsheet you can use the Office Web app to stream Excel to your PC on demand from this dialog
You can download the Office programs temporarily on another PC if you're away from your usual PC (even if it already has another version of Office installed). So if you have a document on a USB drive or on SkyDrive that you need to edit on another PC, and using the Office Web Apps from SkyDrive doesn't provide of the features you need (like seeing revision marks in a tracked document you're collaborating on), you can use Office on Demand to get the full version of Word in just a few minutes.
You manage all this from the revamped Office.com and there's a link to your account there in the ribbon of all the Office applications. (To activate the Skype minutes you have to link your account to the Microsoft account you're using for Office 365, which can be done on the Office.com site.)
You also get a list of your recently edited documents, which helps when using Office on Demand to give it a fresh edit.
If you're at college or university (or you teach at one) it's possible to get Office 365 University on a four-year subscription for $79.99 that you can use on up to two PCs or Macs.
Also, as you might expect, Office 2013 and Office on Demand only run on Windows 7 and 8, not on XP or Vista.
Office 2013 ribbon
Pick a colour scheme – like dark grey instead of primary colours - and decorate the Office 2013 ribbon

Office for business

Although Office 365 Home Premium might also sound like a great deal for a small business, it's not licensed for commercial use (Like the Windows RT versions of Office 2013) unless you already have an Office business licence. Instead, you need one of the Office 365 business subscriptions, available from February 27.
These will include the new Office 2013 versions of Exchange, SharePoint and Lync Online, which are already available to run on your own servers. It's taking some time for Microsoft to upgrade Office 365 to run these new server versions, which explains the later availability (there are a number of issues in SharePoint the Office 365 team is working on). We've tried these out with the Office 2013 applications.
Office 365 Small Business Premium includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Publisher and Lync. The annual $149.99 subscription lets you run them on up to five PCs or Macs at once (again, you can use Office on Demand to download Office to any PC you're using temporarily, and you get regular updates and new features).
You can host online meetings with audio and HD video conferencing in Lync and run a public website on SharePoint, plus you get Exchange with a 25GB mailbox for each user and SkyDrive Plus storage on SharePoint.
That gives you 10GB of secure cloud storage with an extra 500MB for each user, but you can choose how the storage is allocated between users and you can control how they use it – like forcing them to encrypt confidential documents.
Office 365 ProPlus (short for Professional Plus), is aimed at midsize businesses (10-250 employees) and includes the same desktop Office software as Small Business Premium. But it also has tools for business intelligence, consistency checking to Excel and automated deployment, as well as more options for the SharePoint, Lync and Exchange Online services.
Office 365 Enterprise has the full Office 2013 set of features in the desktop software and SharePoint, Lync and Exchange Online services, like archiving, legal hold, Data Loss Prevention and rights management to protect confidential information.
If you're looking for five or more copies of Office 2013 and you don't want the Office 365 services at all, you can buy Office Standard 2013 (with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Publisher, the Office Web Apps and limited Lync, SharePoint and rights management services) or Office Professional Plus 2013 (with the full range of desktop Office programs and server features) through volume licensing.
We've already looked at the final (RTM) version of the Office 2013 applications. Now we've been able to try out the Office 365 Home Premium service with the new Office.com site, where you can download some of the new Office apps (although the apps for Outlook won't work until you have Exchange 2013).

Installing Office 2013

With any of the Office 365 subscription version of Office 2013, you don't have to worry about downloading and saving a large installer for Office (or even about uninstalling previous versions of Office, apart from Outlook). Whether you start the download from the Office 365 site or you try to open an Office document on a PC that doesn't have Office, the programs stream from the cloud.
This is a much improved version of the click-to-run virtualisation that Microsoft has used for the Office trial versions for a few years, which enables you to start using the applications just a few minutes after you download them. You don't have to wait for the full download; you can use the first features as soon as they download and if you click on a tool that hasn't yet downloaded, the installer will get that next.

You can buy and install Office like any other program, or you can stream it on-demand to any PC with the Office 365 subscription
The streaming happens quickly enough that the slideshow of new features you can watch while the other applications install is actually running in PowerPoint (and you don't have to watch it unless you want to).
You do have to pick a few options like the language to use for Office, the design you want to see in the ribbon and whether you want to send Microsoft anonymous telemetry about how you use Office. You can also fill in your Microsoft account details, which Office uses to sync settings like recent documents from SkyDrive, email accounts, custom AutoCorrect entries, the list of your Office Apps and the buttons you add to the Quick Access Toolbars.
Office 2013
Pick whether to see some, all or none of the ribbon in each app
It might seem odd to sign in with your Microsoft account on the Office.com site and then get asked for it during installation, but this is how you share the subscription; use the account that's paying for the licence to log in to Office.com, start the download, then sign in with the account of the person who will be using Office on each PC.
It's all very simple and very well thought out. This is your personal version of Office, on any PC, a lot faster. If you've downloaded the Customer Preview of Office 2013 you've tried this already. (The traditional Office desktop installer uses similar technology so the installation is faster there as well.)
Office 365 Home Premium adds several more designs that you can use to decorate the Office ribbon, including doodled circles, lunchbox sandwiches, pens and pencils, cartoon fish and spring leaves. It's a little odd, but there's something for most tastes (including a blank ribbon).
Once the programs are installed you can also choose from three Office themes (click your account picture at the top of the screen and choose Account Settings or open File > Account. The default white gives you the clean look you might have seen in the Customer Preview or in Office RT; pale Ggrey adds a light tint to the ribbon and other panes and dark grey is a high contrast colour scheme that puts a mid grey on the ribbon and panes and replaces most of the accent colours in each application with a very dark grey.
If you're not a fan of the new Windows 8 look, experiment with the themes to see if an alternative changes your mind.

5 Hacks and Tricks for Google Chrome

Every browser has its intriguing secrets and devoted fans, whether Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Opera. If your thing is Chrome, you probably love the Gmail advantage and the new Chrome mobile browser for iPhone. But you’ve got to dig a little deeper to get to some of the best aspects of Chrome. Let's take a look at 5 favorite Chrome hacks:
1) Permanent Pin TabsChrome Pin Tabs are super helpful, allowing you to create a small browser tab that always stays open and in place. This comes in handy for sites like Gmail or Facebook that you tend to keep open. Creating a Pin Tab is simple: just right-click a tab and then select Pin Tab.Unfortunately, when you close your browser window, this Pin Tab will disappear. To make your Pin Tabs stay in place for every Chrome session, you need to execute a short command switch:

  • Right-click on your Google Chrome Shortcut and select Properties. Then, add the following command switch at the end of the target path:- -pinned-tab-count=xX signifies the number of permanent Pin Tabs you'd like to create. Pick whatever number you'd like. Let's say that we choose 2.Your target path should now read:C:\Users\Nakodari\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe – -pinned-tab-count=2
  • Now, you want to add in the URLs of the permanent tabs at the end of the target path, separated by spaces. Let's say that we select Gmail and   Facebook:C:\Users\Nakodari\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe – -pinned-tab-count=2 http://gmail.com http://facebook.comIf you want more than 2 permanent tabs, just change 2 to whatever number you'd like and add the URLs of the additional tabs. Voila!
2) Chrome ExperimentsNavigate to chrome://flags/ to access Chrome Experiments, a bevy of experimental Chrome features that you can enable, such as Cloud Print Connector, which lets you print  from a stored printer from anywhere by logging in to your Google account.Beware, though: Google warns that "these experiments might bite" and elaborates with a very explicit warning:WARNING These experimental features may change, break, or disappear at any time. We make absolutely no guarantees about what may happen if you turn one of these experiments on, and your browser may even spontaneously combust. Jokes aside, your browser may delete all your data, or your security and privacy could be compromised in unexpected ways. Any experiments you enable will be enabled for all users of this browser. Please proceed with caution. Play at your own risk.
3) Compose Emails from the Chrome OmniboxThis awesome hack, which lets you compose emails from the Chrome omnibox (address bar), comes courtesy of Abhishek Gupta, Lead UX Designer at Lumosity. (The whole thread on Quora is worth reading.)1. Go to Settings (shortcut on a Mac is Command + , )2. Under 'Search' section click on the 'Manage Search Engines' button3. Create a new row called 'Email Compose'Use the keyword 'e'Use this query in the third box 'mailto:?subject=%s'
4. Just as you type 'e' and a spacebar in the omnibox, it will turn solid
Whatever you type next will become a part of the subject of the email.5. Hit enter and a new tab with the email composing UI will open (if you are already signed in)
This hack takes seconds to set up and can really come in handy when you don't have Gmail open and need to send an email very quickly.
4) Get Chrome CanaryIf you're an early adopter, Chrome Canary is for you. Canary is a version of Chrome that has "the newest of the new Chrome features," which get updated daily. However, it's not "for the faint of heart," as "it's designed for developers and early adopters, and can sometimes break down completely."If you're feeling bold, download it here.
5) Action BoxIf you're constantly sharing links and moving between your desktop and mobile devices, the Action Box Experiment is for you.You can enable the Action Box on the Chrome Experiments page (navigate to chrome://flags/) and once you restart your browser, it'll be in action. The star at the end of your omnibox will be replaced by an Action Box that gives you three new options: send the page to your mobile device, bookmark the page, or share it.
I use this Chrome hack more often than any other. It's just plain helpful.
